Philadelphia police are investigating the death of Jasmine Wright, a recent Drexel University graduate who was found beaten and strangled yesterday afternoon in her Philadelphia apartment.
Police say that Wright’s father contacted her building’s property manager after he hadn’t heard from the 27-year-old in days. The property manager entered her apartment and found Wright’s body beaten and strangled. He called police, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to investigators, there was no sign of forced entry or robbery. Neighbors and people who knew her said that she lived alone and led a quiet life.
“She stayed by herself basically,” Harry Harris, the super at a neighboring building told Philly.com. “She was sweet and beautiful.”
A medical examiner is performing an autopsy.
