Comedian Mo’Nique could be coming back to the small screen.
The Oscar-winning actress may be getting her own talk show, again. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mo’Nique is close to inking a deal to bring her bright and sunny personality to ABC and it could launch as early as September 2014.
ABC executive vice president Vicki Dummer is said to be developing the project.
Mo’Nique’s first talk show, The Mo’Nique Show, ran from 2009 to 2011 on BET.
If it does get picked up, it will go up against new daytime shows hosted by Meredith Vieira and Marie Osmond.
Other talkers currently hanging in the balance include Kris Jenner’s show and Tamar Braxton’s roundtable talk show, The Real, with Tamera Mowry-Housley and Loni Love among others.
