
- Jay-Z and Rihanna are set to kick-off the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, England. The two will headline BBC’s Radio 1 Hackney Weekend 2012 – a mega concert event from June 23 to 24, a month before the games begin. “There will be absolutely something for everyone: from Beethoven to Jay-Z, from Shakespeare to Mike Leigh” said Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt. - Bobby Brown won’t be heading to jail for a DUI last month. He reportedly struck a plea deal with prosecutors. As a result, he was sentenced to 35 months of summary probation and one day of county jail, which he already served. The singer will be forced to participate in a 90-day alcohol program as well. - Bishop T.D. Jake has signed up to produce Winnie, a film starring Jennifer Hudson and Terrence Howard about the lives of Winnie and Nelson Mandela. Jakes will also develop a distribution plan and deal for the film. There’s no word on a release date. [Hollywood Reporter]
