Rihanna graces the November cover of Vogue in a fiery red dress, but it’s what she’s talking about inside that has everyone talking.
The Bajan pop princess is no stranger to controversy, and for the first time, Rihanna divulges her inner feelings about a number of hot-button issues — namely her reconciliation with Chris Brown.
“To the world, I feel like there’s no closure,” she tells the fashion magazine. “There’s some obsession that’s continued even throughout when we weren’t friends or couldn’t be friends at all. Hated each other. The world hasn’t let go. They haven’t seen any progress in our friendship, because they don’t see anything, really besides the song.” The song she speaks of is her much talked about “Birthday Cake” remix featuring Brown, which she admits was totally her idea. “I didn’t think it could be anything detrimental to my career,” said Rihanna.
Reuniting with Chris Brown hasn’t been the only news fodder following her around. In April of this year she was spotted on the shoulders of her bodyguard rolling what looks to be marijuana cigarettes at Coachella. Several media outlets suspected it was harsher drugs, i.e. cocaine. Rihanna adamantly denies those accusations. “They knew what it was,” she said. “They knew it was marijuana. It was completely clear to them. I just thought it was uncalled for. I don’t do cocaine. I don’t like being associated with anything that’s untrue.”
