Despite a recent hospital stay in April, Robin Roberts says she’s in good health, according to People.
“I feel great,” said the Good Morning America anchor. “I feel the best I’ve felt in a long time—and I mean that sincerely.”
It’s evident from her Twitter account that fans get worried about her. Roberts took off last Thursday and Friday to rest. She later addressed concerns about her TV absence on Twitter.
“It’s really funny because I’m not able to work a full week yet,” said Roberts at Monday’s 12th Annual Women Who Care Luncheon benefiting United Cerebral Palsy of New York City. “…But it’s Monday, and having the long weekend, I come back and it’s like a rebirth,” said Roberts. “So I’m very grateful.”
Roberts’ health has been in the headlines ever since her myelodysplastic syndrome diagnosis last year. She underwent a bone marrow transplant in September and returned to work in late February.
Although she talks openly about her health challenges, Roberts has never given up hope. “I think that I am being used for light and love and resilience,” Roberts told Parade in late March. “For whatever reason, I’m able to touch people and I’m so grateful for that.”
