Roseanne Barr thinks she would make a better president than Oprah Winfrey.
On Monday, Barr attended a panel at TCA to discuss the reboot of her sitcom Roseanne — something that no one asked for but we’re getting anyway — and discussed why she thinks she’d be a better commander-in-chief than the media mogul.
Barr, a known Trump supporter, was asked if she’d vote for Winfrey if the billionaire ran for president and told those in attendance, “I do love Oprah. Of course, I love Oprah like everybody else, but you know what? I think it was time for us as a country to shake things up and try something different.”
Pushed on whether she’d support Susan Sarandon as a presidential candidate, Barr added, “I think I would be a better president than Oprah and Susan Sarandon, and possibly even President Trump. And I did run in 2012.”
In 2011, Barr announced her candidacy for president on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, running on the “Green Tea Party” ticket for the 2012 election. She also added that she would be running for Prime Minister of Israel.
And, Barr will be bringing her politics to the reboot of her self-titled sitcom, which sees the actress’ Trump-supporting alter-ego butting heads with family members after the election.
The actress was also asked about Trump’s racism and anti-Mexican comments during the panel, telling an attendee, “That’s your opinion.”
“He says a lot of crazy shit…I’m not a Trump apologist,” she added. “There are a lot of things he has said and done that I don’t agree with, like there’s probably a lot of things Hillary Clinton has done and said that you don’t agree with, and so nobody is brainwashed into agreeing with 100 percent of what anybody says, let alone a politician or a candidate.”
Sounds like a Trump apologist to us.
