Russell Simmons and ex-wife, Kimora Lee, have reminded us once again that families don’t have to be nuclear to be happy.
Earlier this week, the web was buzzing with applause and heart emojis after Simmons posted a picture of him with Kimora Lee’s two sons, Kenzo Lee and Wolfe Lee, captioning the photo “My godchildren”.
Both of the boys are Kimora’s children from relationships after her 2009 divorce from Russell.

Kimora Lee Simmons’ Most Fabulous Family Moments
This isn’t the first time that we’ve seen Russell post about his blended family.
Last year, he wrote a heartfelt post on Instagram expressing gratitude for his “best friend Kimora Leissner and her amazing spouse Tim.”
“I feel so grateful I can’t really express the feelings in words. While I realize that life is short and ever changing (you never know what’s around the bend) for now I must say this morning meditation produced tears of joy,” he wrote.
In the same post, Russell talked about the moment Tim, Kimora’s banker husband, asked him to be the godfather of Wolf, now 1-year-old.
“I also feel very close to the father of one of the kids I love the most in the world (Kenzo Lee) Djimon Hounsou. When Tim asked me to be the Godfather to his and Kimora’s beautiful baby boy, WOLF, I was overwhelmed.”
