A high school in Santa Clarita, California, is on lockdown after a shooting on campus left several students injured. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department responded to the shooting at Saugus High School Thursday morning.
According to NBC News, one student is dead, with three others in critical condition. The shooter, who is unnamed and in custody, is being treated at a local hospital for their injuries.
The shooting occurred at 8:00 am PST. The suspect is described as an Asian male, last seen wearing a hoodie. About 2300 students attend Saugus High School, which is located about 40 miles north of Los Angeles.
