Harlem’s Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture discovered nearly two dozen letters, as well as other significant documents, from Barack Hussein Obama – our sitting president’s father, reports the New York Times.

The Schomburg Center had invited President Obama to see the letters and documents back in 2013, to which they had yet to receive a response.
According to the Times, a senior White House official said that President Obama would be interested in seeing the documents after he leaves office next year.
