Atlanta police have released images of a new person of interest in connection with the shooting death of 8-year-old Secoriea Turner earlier this month.
As CNN reports, police had already described two individuals in the group of people who opened fire on the vehicle in which Turner, her mother and an adult friend had been riding in. One man was reportedly dressed as a bounty hunter wearing all black, while another shooter was described as a man wearing a white T-shirt. The new images show a third individual this time wearing a red shirt and black shoes.
“I am asking you to please honor this baby’s life. Please, if you know who did this, please turn them in,” Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said at a press conference, according to CNN. “Enough is enough.”
Turner was killed on July 4 near the Wendy’s where Rayshard Brooks was killed by police. While Turner was riding with her mother and her mother’s friend, the driver of the vehicle tried to turn into a parking lot that was illegally being blocked by a group of men. The men suddenly started shooting, striking Turner. The 8-year-old was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved.
Crime Stoppers is offering $20,000 to anyone with information about the incident.
