Some may say 2016’s election between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump was the ugliest they’ve seen in a while. But according to Senator Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) the 2020 election is “going to be ugly”.
With potential politicians like Beto O’Rourke, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders contemplating tossing their hats into the ring, Harris expressed to MSNBC’s Mika Brzenziski that people haven’t seen anything yet.
“Let’s be honest. It’s going to be ugly,” Harris told Brzezinski. “When you break things, it is painful,” she said. “And you get cut. And you bleed.”
There were a lot of cuts during the 2016 election, and tears, once people discovered who their next president would be. In addition to the clamor over O’Rourke, Biden and Sanders possibly running, some people are also expecting Harris to run as well. But she’s not too certain about it, and said she’d make her decision over the holiday.
“It will ultimately be a family decision,” she said.
If Harris does make the decision to run, ugly would be an understatement when it comes to the ruthlessness of the Republican party and their tactics.
