Finding the perfect sports bra isn’t easy — especially when you have a large chest. And if anyone knows the struggle of keeping their curves in check while also being a badass athlete it’s Serena Williams.
The world renonwed tennis pro isn’t shy about flaunting her fabulous figure (on or off the court), but best believe that anything she wears while playing tennis is designed to ensure she can move without all the boob bounce.
So, you might be suprised to learn that Williams’ go-to sports bras are made by the Australian brand Berlei. The 34-year-old has worn Berlei bras in every match she has played for the past ten years. That’s quite the endorsement — especially considering Williams has a multi-million dollar contract with Nike.
“As a female athlete, I know how important a good bra is” Williams said in a press release.” As my tennis regime includes tons of high performance exercises, I’m always running, bouncing and jumping, and I need to be confident there is both comfort and support – especially on court.”
Until now the Aussie lingerie-meets-sportwear company was only available online for American consumers, but it has finally made it’s way to the U.S. market. On Thursday, Williams, who credits her mother for introducing her to the Berlei bras over a decade ago, was on hand to celebrate the company’s stateside debut at Macy’s in New York City.
The underwire bras, which retail from $35 to $68, are enginereed with mesh panels and crossover strap functionality for maximum comfort during high intensity workouts. Plus, they’re cute. The colorful prints and vivrant colors make sure you get plenty of style with all that support.
