Serena Williams says she had a blast making a camo in Beyonce’s new visual album “Lemonade.”
One of many surprise celebrity appearances in the 1-hour video, Serena’s was by far one of the most memorable and she recently spoke to Bleacher Report about the experience. In addition to sharing how much fun she had, the tennis champion also revealed that she actually loves to dance.
“Well, um, it was fun. It was a great experience,” she said. “I love to dance (little known fact) but, I actually really love dancing. It’s just makes me really relaxed and it’s also a good way to work out without like, being on the treadmill.
But yeah, it was great. I love her and she’s a great person. Her visual album was an amazing thing and I just felt really honored just to be a part of it.”
Serena’s now-infamous appearance in the unforgettable scene from Beyonce’s performance of “Sorry” in the visual was the perfect addition to the running themes of sisterhood and Black female empowerment showcased throughout “Lemonade.”
This isn’t the first time Serena has twerked it out to a Beyonce tune, as you may remember her making waves in 2015 with her hilarious rendition of Beyonce’s “7/11” video.
