The tennis champ told Melissa Harris-Perry in her new Glamour cover story that the blame placed on the rapper was unwarranted.
“I don’t think that was fair,” she said. “I’m the one who’s playing, who’s making mistakes or making winners. I’m not one to blame anyone else for anything. And I don’t think anyone else should either.”

Williams and Drake were a rumored couple at the time and many took to Twitter placing blame on the Canadian star for distracting her during such a big match but it’s blame that Williams assures everyone misplaced.
