In his iconic “I Have a Dream” speech Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. imagined of a world of equal opportunity where future generations would “not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character;” a world where America would “rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.'”
This month as we gather in our various places—whether in Washington D.C. or in our churches and homes—to commemorate a brave man and the 250,000 people who marched along with him on August 28, 1963, we want to know how you are living the dream. Have you overcome tremendous obstacles to be where you are in your life or career? Perhaps you’re the first college graduate in your family, or you’re in the middle of pursuing a lifelong dream. Whatever your “dream,” we want to know what you have achieved thanks to the heroism of generations past.
