The Georgia peach told WetPaint, “After four solid seasons of helping Bravo build the show into its most successful Housewives franchise, I have decided to leave. The direction the show is going in is no longer a fit for my lifestyle. I’m tired of the fighting and the cattiness.”
Despite making her money off being catty and outrageously loud, Whitfield says she’s looking to empower women. “I want to be part of something that empowers and inspires women to not only be healthy,” she says, “but to treat themselves with respect. I wish the rest of the women the best of luck.”
This season hasn’t been easy for Whitfield. She often fought and argued with NeNe Leakes, the show’s most outspoken character. On top of that, she’d been seeking child support from her ex-husband Bob Whitfield for quite some time and has failed at making any progress.
Bravo reportedly had no comment about the casting shakeup.
