Most of America is still talking about Miley Cyrus’ raunchy VMA performance. And Sherri Shepherd is the latest celebrity to shame the former Disney star.
“Oh, she’s going to hell in a twerking handbasket,” said Shepherd on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. “When I was growing up, that wasn’t called ‘twerking’ That was called a ho move.”
Cyrus surely earned America’s attention Sunday night for her eye-opening performance of her summer hit “We Can’t Stop,” which she mashed up with Robin Thicke’s hit “Blurred Lines.” In total, Cyrus earned an incredible amount of mentions on Twitter—4.5 million to be exact—during the show’s two and a half hour telecast.
While some thought she was over-the-top and tasteless, her father tweeted a supportive message Sunday night. “Thanking God for so many blessings tonight,” shared Billy Ray Cyrus. “Continue to pray for world peace. More love …less hate.”
