On Sunday night, Solange posted several tweets venting her frustration at Miami cops, who she claimed had pulled a “weapon” on her. “A police officer just pulled a weapon on me,” she wrote. “I have done NOTHING illegal, against the law, or anything of the sort.”

Now a Miami Police spokesman says the altercation occurred because Solange “was in possession of a 5-foot tall inflatable banana.”
“Ms. Knowles’ demeanor caused the officers to escort her across the street to further the conversation, where Ms. Knowles claims one of the officers pulled a ‘weapon’ on her, not a firearm, and threatened to deflate the banana,” a detective tells E! News.

“The whole entire incident was about the fact that she was not allowed in a club,” he adds.
But Solange says she’s sticking to her story and is considering taking legal action.
“I feel very strongly about standing up for myself when something is wrong, and am very disappointed in the way that the Miami [Beach] Police Department has handled this case,” she says.
