TMZ is reporting that the legendary director is in final talks to get on board with the project and make this dream a reality. Tyson performed the show for one week in Las Vegas and it was a big hit with fans. Both Lee and Tyson have allegedly been in talks about ways to change the show for Broadway.
“Undisputed Truth” is about the rise and fall of Tyson as one of boxing’s most celebrated athletes. The New York Post reports that the show also covers his troubled childhood “growing up as the son of a pimp and prostitute in Brooklyn.”
Lee has reportedly tapped theater mogul Jimmy Nederlander Jr. to help with the project.
If things pan out, expect to see Tyson on the Great White Way by summer’s end.
