The Search For ‘Bae’: Meet the Young Black Entrepreneurs Whose App Is Taking on Tinder
SurveyMonkey Intelligence recently pulled some of their data to show how people engage in the dating app landscape and the demographics of each user. Their report also showed some other interesting trends that can impact a serious dating app user. The data showed that Tinder is the most used dating app while Bumble has the most users between the ages for 18 to 29. Although Bumble wins with allowing only women to initiate contact, it’s not a good app if you are looking for an older companion. Not to mention if you are on Black People Meet, you may have an easier time on the app if you live in the South because over 69% of its users live below the Mason Dixon line. The majority of dating app users call the South home for other popular apps like POF, Zoosk, Clover, Tinder and OKCupid.
