Don’t touch the belly!
Tamar Braxton’s growing baby bump has received plenty of new attention, some of which she doesn’t quite appreciate. “The annoying thing [about being pregnant] is that people think it’s cool to touch your stomach,” she told ESSENCE.com. “I’m a Southern girl. We don’t do that. I don’t know what kind of mood you’re in. I don’t know what you did last night,” chuckled the mom-to-be. “I know it’s tempting but that’s something us Southerners don’t do.”
Braxton, who is expecting her bundle of joy this summer, says she’s going through the changes every expectant mom experiences, including weight gain and swollen feet. “I’m upset about it because I’m going to need all of my shoes,” she joked.
The 36-year-old singer has been so busy promoting her single “Love & War,” as well as putting the finishing touches on her forthcoming album, that she’s barely had any time to get the baby’s nursery ready.
“We’re a lot behind,” she said, before hubby Vincent Herbert chimed in, adding, “We’re waiting for Toni Braxton and some of her other sisters to figure out all that type of stuff because they really want to be a part of the baby thing.”
The couple is still keeping mum on the baby’s due date.
