Ciera Paul, a teacher in New Orleans, decided to change up the lyrics and use the song to teach her students geometry. The 7th grade class sings about angles and circles with nice Spanish portion in the middle. Paul told ABC News that she’s seen improvement in participation and grades and most of the kids know the song by heart.

“This is just an interesting way to change it up a little bit and get away from the traditional teaching methods of just pens and paper,” Paul told ABC. Paul has received tons of praise for finding an engaging and fun way to get students interested in math and the teacher has been blown away by the response.
