In “Black Girls Rock!” news, 13-year-old pitcher Mo’ne Davis has led her team to the Little League World Series thanks to her 70 mph fastball!
Davis will become the 18th girl to play in the LLWS in 68 years after throwing a three-hitter Sunday that led her team, the Taney Youth Baseball Association Little League of Philadelphia, to a 8-0 victory.
This isn’t the first time Davis’ merciless curveball has proven to be her team’s secret weapon. She struck out 10 players in a past victory as well. Check out skills in the video below.
The LLWS will begin Thursday in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
