Terrence Howard's Divorce Goes from Bad to Worse

Back in February, Terrence Howard’s wife, Michelle, filed for divorce after a year of marriage. Since then, things have gone from bad to worse. Today, TMZ is reporting that Terrence Howard claims Michelle called him names like “monkey” and “n**ger,” on top of threatening to kill him.

Howard is now asking L.A. County Superior Court for a restraining order against Michelle — saying she went from “loving” and “gentle” to malicious and threatening.

In the court documents, the actor claims she would make derogatory statements like, “[I] never wanted to marry a n**ger in the first place. [I] definitely didn’t want to be the step mother of some n**ger kids.” To add fuel to the fire, Terrence says she would have him killed by her Russian friends.

Looking back, 2011 has been an extremely rough time for the former couple. In September, Terrence left a shocking voicemail on the phone of a man he believed called Michelle — ultimately threatening to cut his throat. In early December, Michelle filed a restraining order against Howard, citing physical abuse and death threats.

Just where do you draw the line here?

It appears there’s no hope in sight for this couple as the claws and fangs are drawn out.  This will go down as one of the ugliest, nastiest divorces Hollywood has seen in years.

A hearing is set for January 17th.
