A Texas sheriff’s deputy is facing charges after allegedly conducting unlawful strip-searches on at least six women over 11 days, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Floyd Berry, who has been with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office for 18 years, has been placed on administrative leave and was arrested after several individuals complained about his conduct.
Following an investigation, officials found out that Berry had “unlawfully strip-searched” six women while patrolling the southern portion of the county between Nov. 24 and Dec. 4, according to the. report.
The 49-year-old was slapped with three misdemeanor counts of official oppression, and, alongside being placed on. administrative leave was also served a “proposed termination.”
