During their island getaway, the Obamas celebrated the holiday by attending a Christmas service at the Kaneohe Bay Chapel on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, followed by a visit with military families at Anderson Hall.
The President also spent some time making personal phone calls to wish a happy holiday to American service members stationed around the world. The First Lady was busy on the phone, too, chatting with kids for the NORAD Santa Tracker program, a volunteer initiative that takes calls from children asking about Santa’s latest location on Christmas Eve.
