The significance behind the couple’s name choice took fans by surprise.
The number four, also written in Roman numerals as IV, undoubtedly is important to the couple. Beyonce’s birthday is September 4th, Jay-Z’s birthday is December 4th and they wed on April 4, 2008 — complete with “IV” tattoos on their ring finger. Not to mention Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles’ birthday is on January 4th. And Beyonce’s latest album is entitled “4.”

But what about “Blue?”
According to People, Jay-Z has three albums with the word “blue” in it. “The Blueprint” which was released in 2001, “The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse” in 2002 and “The Blueprint 3,” in 2009.
Whether you love it or hate, one thing’s for sure, baby Blue Ivy’s life is sure to be as unique as her name.
