Just days after it was revealed that The Weeknd donated $50,000 to the University of Toronto for its Ethiopic Studies program, it has been confirmed that the singer just made another huge donation.
Sources confirmed to The Fader that The Weeknd donated $250,000 to Black Lives Matter. The Weeknd hasn’t come forward about the donations and don’t expect him to. The singer keeps an incredibly low profile, rarely giving interviews, and generally avoiding the media.

Still, The Weeknd has been vocal about his support of black lives, tweeting back in July, “Enough is enough. it’s time to stand up for this. we can either sit and watch, or do something about it. the time is now. #blacklivesmatter.”
