Tia Norfleet has her sights set on becoming the first African-American female NASCAR driver in the history of the sport.
The 24-year-old wants to follow in the footsteps of her father, Bobby Norfleet, also a professional racer, and she is well on her way to doing just that, reports the Huffington Post.
Tia, who has already earned victories on the drag racing circuit with two top-15 finishes, says she has always known she wanted to be a racer like her dad. “When you grow up in the sport and you have the guidance and tutelage of a father figure to explain to you the right path to take for success, then it’s always helpful,” she explained.
In addition to racing to the finish line, Tia’s goal is to inspire her fans and young people that they too can achieve what seems impossible. Tia is definitely an inspiration and we look forward to seeing her name in lights in the near future!
