In honor of Prince and what would have been the icon’s 58th birthday, Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton has declared today “Prince Day” in Minnesota.
Billboard reports that the governor’s proclamation urges everyone to wear purple today to celebrate Prince’s contributions to the music industry, his legacy, and his philanthropy.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland also has plans to celebrate the artist today with a “Let’s Go Crazy” dance party. We’re sure there will be other events around the country in honor of the late musician as people remember Prince and the way he touched everyone’s lives through music.
