Comedian Tracy Morgan wants fans to know he’s on the mend.
In the first post-crash sighting on Monday, the former 30 Rock star was seen using a wheelchair to carefully get into his car outside of his Cresskil, New Jersey home. Though his movements were slow, Morgan didn’t hesitate to flash a big smile and a peace sign. Before driving off, Morgan told the NY Daily News that all was well. “I’m OK, I feel strong,” he said.
After the June 7th crash that left him fatally injured, fans and photographers applauded his good health. “Love you, thank you very much. Appreciate it,” added Morgan, as he waved goodbye.
Morgan is planning a lawsuit against Wal-Mart, and Kevin Roper, the driver involved. Roper has been charged with death by auto and assault by auto, both of which he pleaded not guilty.
