Tracy Morgan is ready to hit the big screen once again.
Following his tragic accident last year, which left the actor and comedian recuperating from a traumatic brain injury, Morgan is reportedly in talks to portray Red Foxx in the upcoming Richard Pryor biopic.
In a statement, Morgan revealed that, “it will be an honor to portray an icon,” according to Variety.

Foxx was most notably known for his 1950s and 60s comedic “party albums” and his role in the 70s sitcom, Sanford and Son.
The Lee Daniels-directed project has already casted Mike Epps as Pryor, Taraji P. Henson and Eddie Murphy are on board as Pryor’s mother and father, respectively, and Oprah is set to portray the grandmother who raised him.
Though the film is still untitled, it is already a star-studded production.
