Quoting Sir Mix-a-Lot from a red carpet in France, a pregnant Blake Lively posted a split photo of herself in Atelier Versace while promoting a film in Cannes. “L.A. face with an Oakland booty,” she describes herself.

And Baby got Backlash…
With how gentrified Oakland has become, Blake Lively kind of does have an LA face with an Oakland booty.

I want to follow Blake Lively just to unfollow after this LA/Oakland business. So much privilege even GOOP feels uncomfortable.

I refuse to worry about Blake Lively posting a sir mix a lot lyric with a picture of her backside. The revolution does not start here.

It’s safe to say that Sir Mix-a-Lot most likely did not have Blake Lively in mind when he came out with “Baby Got Back,” – as Becky and friend eloquently dramatize their reaction to “Oakland booty” in the beginning of his song – so “L.A. face” doesn’t exactly line up with what Ms. Lively thinks it means.
Cue in Beyoncé’s “Formation.”
