Tyler Perry recounted a story about his alleged stalker Friday.
According to NY Daily News, Perry explained the incident that led to the arrest of former employee, Joshua Sole in a Facebook post titled, “Scary Situation.”
Sole, who worked at the Altanta-based Tyler Perry Studios, was arrested last week when he attempted to meet Perry by bypassing a restricted area to access the studio’s executive offices.
In the post Perry revealed that after getting past the restricted area, security was called and once they got upstairs he seemed to have disappeared.
“After 45 minutes they heard him inside of the sheetrock walls. He had somehow climbed into the drop ceiling and made his way into an empty office. He barricaded himself inside and refused to come out of the office until he met me.”
Perry also revealed that the studio had to be evacuated causing, “quite a bit in damages and lost hours.”
Once Sole was taken into custody yet another chilling detail was discovered.
“After he was arrested they searched the small office he had barricaded himself in, and he had left his headshot on the wall with a note to me saying ‘I believe in your leadership.’”
Sole was booked in the Fulton County jail and released later that day on $7,000 signature bond.
Perry requested $100,000 in a lawsuit filed last week — and $25,000 for attorney fees — for the “discomfort and annoyance caused by the diminished value of peaceful enjoyment” he gets from the studio.
“I don’t know what he was thinking,” Perry concluded. “But let’s be clear, to do something like this someone has to be mentally disturbed.”
