The library had closed due to financial problems, but will now be able to reopen with longer hours thanks in part to Davis’ contribution. Others, including actor Alec Baldwin and State Senator Elizabeth Crowley, have donated to the library as well.

Davis is red-hot these days. The actress is fresh off of her starring role in the feature, “The Help,” which is rumored to be getting a bit of Oscar buzz. She is also a new mommy to a beautiful adopted baby girl named Genesis.
