Star Jones has teamed up with Wendy Williams to produce a made-for-TV film of her book Satan’s Sisters. Jones released the novel last year and said her long term goal is to turn the future film into a television series.
Satan’s Sisters tells the story of four talk show hosts as they navigate their careers, create alliances and burn bridges along the way. Jones revealed on a February episode of The Wendy Williams that VH1 had brought the story and will air the movie.
Williams, who calls herself the “Queen of All Media,” will serve as the movie’s executive producer. She linked up with producer Suzanne de Passe to create the project under the Wendy Williams Presents banner, reports The Grio.
“This partnership makes great sense to Wendy Williams Productions and our entry into the world of filmed entertainment,” Williams said in a release. “de Passe Jones Entertainment has a proven track record of success as it pertains to television movies and mini-series.”
Although Jones has yet to cast the film, she mentioned she would like to include Diahann Carroll, Diana Ross and Lynn Whitfield as characters.
