Having sex is not a decision anyone should make lightly. It’s a big deal the first time you decide to be sexually active and each subsequent time thereafter. But aside from just wanting to, how does someone determine when he or she is actually emotionally ready to have sex? Apparently some women are jumping the gun and becoming sexually active long before they can really answer the question.
A new sex research study conducted by popular fertility monitoring app Kindara revealed that women are twice as likely as men to start having sex before they feel emotionally ready to do so, according to Business Insider. Forty three percent of women asked said they became sexually active before they were ready while only 23-percent of men felt the same.
