Wesley Snipes Files Supreme Court Appeal

Wesley Snipes is taking his legal battle to the next level. The actors’ lawyers recently filed an appeal, asking judges to release Snipe from jail so he can fight his tax evasion case in the Supreme Court, TMZ reports. According to the documents, Snipe wants the U.S Court of Appeals to overturn a decision that got him thrown in jail last week without bail. What’s his defense? Snipes claims he faced alleged juror bias during his tax evasion case and should be entitled to a new trial. The actor was convicted in 2008 for willfully failing to file federal tax returns.
