Actor Wesley Snipes is a free man.
On Tuesday, he was released from a federal prison in Pennsylvania where he was serving a three-year sentence.
The Blade star, 50, who was convicted on tax charges in 2010, and lost all appeals, has been released to a supervised residential location in New York, reports CNN. Snipes will be on home confinement until July 19th.
After heading to trail, a jury found Snipes guilty of failing to file tax returns from 1999 to 2001. At the time, he was acquitted of conspiracy and felony tax fraud charges. He was taken into custody by U.S. Marshalls in November 2010.
Snipes has not been spotted publicly, and likely will not be until his home confinement sentence is released.
