There’s no denying that Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian’s love story is fascinating. Which is exactly why viewers couldn’t wait to tune into last night’s premiere of the couple’s new reality show, Rob & Chyna.
Last night millions tuned into the premiere of E!’s latest reality show, Rob & Chyna for a glimpse inside the headline grabbing romance between Blac Chyna and Rob Kardashian.
The premiere revealed that Chyna, 28, and Kardashian, 29, who got engaged in April after just a few months of dating and announced they were expecting their first child in May, are experiencing many relationship highs and lows on their road to the altar, but Chyna insists that her engagement to Rob won’t be anything like her failed relationship with ex-boyfriend Tyga.
“One thing that I’ve learned going into this relationship with Rob is not to lose myself,” Chyna told ESSENCE during a recent interview. “I felt like when I got with Tyga, I kind of lost myself and lost my power as a woman. I think sometimes as young women, when we want to please our men, we try to not do or say things as we normally would. Even if it’s something as petty as, say, a nail color. If I wanted to wear pink on my toes and Tyga didn’t want me to wear the pink, I would have to take the pink off and change it to white. The way I am now, it’s like, if I want to wear pink on my nails, then that’s what I’m gonna do. If you don’t like it, don’t look at it!”

This time around, Chyna wants her voice to be heard. Something she believed more women should demand in love.
“So many women, we get into these relationships and lose ourselves,” said Chyna. “We lose focus of that drive that we had in the beginning just to try to accommodate a man, and going into this relationship, I just told myself that I wasn’t going to do that. I’m gonna be myself and, you know, take my wigs off — which Rob loves [laughs] — and just love myself for who I am.”
Chyna, who has a young son, King, with ex Tyga, will have a chance to teach her new daughter many of these hard-learned love lessons. That’s right, the expectant parents are having a baby girl. Chyna and Kardashian revealed their baby’s gender during the show’s premiere.
“If you’re with someone who you want to be in a long-term relationship with or are considering marriage with, they have to love you for exactly who you are or you’ll both just be unhappy the whole time,” Chyna concluded.
