The White House released a photo of its spring interns on Friday and the internet couldn’t ignore an obvious detail about the group: it’s overwhelmingly white.
Twitter users were quick to point out the lack of diversity among the interns, especially when comparing it to the White House intern classes under former President Barack Obama.
“The White House intern photo is like a Where’s Waldo for a non-white person — in a country that is about 40% non-white,” Washington Post columnist Brian Klaas said.
Are you surprised to see this in Trump’s White House?
