On Monday, March 7, BBC One’s Charlotte Moore announced a list of new projects currently in development, and one of them happens to be a feature length documentary about the late Whitney Houston.

Filmmaker Nick Broomfield, the man behind the Biggie and Tupac documentary, will focus on the highs and lows of the legendary singer’s life. The BBC press release described it as going “in search of the forces that made and then destroyed the singer who has been described as having one of the greatest voices of the last 50 years.”

No word yet if Broomfield and BBC have the blessing of the singer’s family, or if they’re involved at all. Houston’s family has been incredibly protective of her image and estate since her death on Feb. 11, 2012.
