While fans of The View are wondering about co-host Whoopi Goldberg’s future plans––her contract expires at the end of the season and her return doesn’t seem likely––Goldberg has already moved on to new projects, one of which is a crime drama for Bravo.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Goldberg is set to produce and possibly star in a new show for the network about a Harlem crime boss who’s reunited with her son after he faked his death as a teen.
The son, who is able to pass as White, returns to New York City to run for mayor.

The project is still in its early stages, with sources adding it’s not clear whether or not Goldberg will star in the program, which is currently untitled.
So, it seems that while her future on The View is still up in the air, Goldberg already has her focus on making a return to acting. We’ll just have to wait and see.
