Ciara sang the national anthem before the kick-off of Monday night’s college football championship game between Alabama and Clemson.
For many, the problem wasn’t Cici’s rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner,” it was her dress.
Ciara to Perform National Anthem at College Football Championship Game
Bonnie Bernstein, a former ESPN sideline reporter, thought Ciara’s choice of clothing was a little too revealing to wear during a nationally televised game.
Dear Ciara. You’re stunning. But this is a National Championship Game. Kids are watching. Cover up.

FOX Sports personality Jason Whitlock echoed Bernstein’s sentiments, tweeting in agreement.
Appropriate, fair tweet. The dress was inappropriate. Her voice was more than enough. Why distract w/nudity? https://t.co/Fv93ioO7TM

I’m 100 percent serious. I’m not a prude. Love nudity. Not at national champ game. Inappropriate. https://t.co/LoTzEqBQQJ

But not all shared Bernstein and Whitlock’s opinion.

That woman tweeted that Ciara should cover up. This looks like a dress with another dress on top of it. Cover what? pic.twitter.com/hzgM85rd7T

And the most important person to side with Ciara’s dress? Her boyfriend and Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson.
I see you baby!! Sounded amazing & looked flawless in every way! @Ciara #NationalChampionship pic.twitter.com/0buuntOFvF

What do you think of the reaction to Ciara’s dress?
