Originally, the hit TV show appeared on Showtime, chronicling the lives of three sisters; Bird, Maxine, and Terri and their families. The series, adapted from the 1997 movie, is still in the developmental stages.

According to the FishBowlLA, “It isn’t yet clear whether the new “Soul Food” would be for the FOX network or whether the company would try and sell it to other channels.”
This comes as great news for Black television shows, in a time where we are greatly underrepresented.
