Delta Airlines is in the news again.
This time it is because officers dragged a black woman off of a Delta flight at Detroit Metropolitan Airport Monday after she refused to follow rules for boarding the plane, officials said.
Video footage shot by a passenger shows uniformed officers dragging the yet-to-be-identified woman down the aisle of the plane.
Airport police officers got involved after Delta requested assistance with a passenger “who would not comply with boarding and baggage check procedures” at the gate, according to a statement sent to The Huffington Post by airport spokesman Brian Lassaline.
“When officers arrived, Delta Air Lines stated the woman could not remain on board,” Lassaline wrote. “Despite repeated requests by officers, the woman refused to leave the aircraft and had to be removed.”

The video, which has gone viral, was posted on YouTube by travel blogger René deLambert who received it from a passenger on the plane, who said the woman was “mouthy and had a huge attitude.”
According to the witness, she “blew by gate agent and didn’t check in because she wasn’t an early boarder and deserved overhead bin space,” the Washington Post reports.
Wayne County prosecutor’s office spokeswoman Maria Miller said Tuesday the case is being reviewed by the city attorney in Romulus, the suburb where the airport is located.
Delta was most recently in the news when a passenger that was a Trump supporter declared his excitement over Trump’s election victory, while simultaneously verbally assaulting Hillary Clinton supporters.
