Rocking an Edie Sedgwick wig and major lashes, Arlenis looks incredible in the new Lancome Hypnose Doll Eyes Mascara ad campaign! In honor of the supermodel, lets look at her top beauty moments.
Arlenis Sosa has always had a yen for getting dolled up in fancy clothes, as evidenced by this adorable satin-and-lace number she wore as a little girl in the Dominican Republic.

When she’s not working the runway or the camera, she enjoys her Lancome in-store appearances. “When a new product launches, women come to stores to see me and learn new makeup tricks. It’s so fun!”
“I knew I’d made it big when I landed my first real job, Vogue Italia’s all-black issue,” says Sosa. “I’d always dreamed of working with Liya, Naomi, Alek Wek and Jourdan…they’ve all inspired me!”
No matter how late the party, she never neglects her skin. “I always wash my face before bed,” says Sosa, seen here a Louis Vuitton fete. "Also, I drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy.
At the CFDA Awards, Arlenis rocked natural, dewy skin and a sheer lip tint. “I’m a fan of natural beauties, like Isabella Rossellini, who was the face of Lancome for many years,” says Sosa.
Sosa is part of a powerful group of top Black models, including Chanel Iman, Sessilee Lopez and Jourdan Dunn. The fierce foursome shared the September cover of the British magazine, i-D.
Arlenis has a ball modeling (here, she giggles backstage at Fashion Week), but it can be hard. “I love my job, but it’s hard not spending time with my family and friends in Dominican Republic.”
Sosa is one of the industry’s runway stars, but she also loves working with Lancome. “It’s every model’s goal to get a cosmetics contract, and I got it two months after I started modeling!”
Arlenis’ advice to young models is “to be secure in their goals and not feel bad if someone doesn’t want them for a job. There are many open doors in this business. God always has plan.”
