Get the royal frame ready!
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are celebrating their recent engagement with the release of their official portrait photographs.
The couple looks royally in love in the stunning snaps shared by Kensington Palace on Thursday, which was taken earlier this week at Frogmore House in Windsor by fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski.
In the first photo, Meghan leans on Harry’s leg as they pose on a set of stairs, the actress wearing a black gown and the royal sporting a blue suit. They hold hands, with Meghan showing off her engagement ring for the camera.
A second image in black and white shows the duo nuzzled in close together and laughing. Harry appears to be wrapping his jacket around his bride-to-be.
“It was an incredible honor to be asked to document this wonderful event, but also a great privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple’s love for one another,” Lubomirski said, according to a statement from the palace. “I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took of them, such was their happiness together.”
The release of the photos comes just one day after Meghan joined Harry and other senior members of the royal family for Queen Elizabeth II’s annual Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace. Meghan will also travel to Sandringham with Harry to join the royal family for Christmas.

Harry and Meghan announced their engagement on Nov. 27 to the delight of the royal family. In a statement, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip said they were “delighted for the couple and wish them every happiness.”
The nuptials will take place at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in May 2018.
Harry followed in big brother Prince William’s footsteps, as he and his then bride-to-be Kate Middleton released two photos (one glamorous and one relaxed!) just after their engagement in December 2010.
Will and Kate’s engagement photos were captured during a two-hour shoot by fashion photographer Mario Testino, who was hand-selected by William for the task. His later mother, Princess Diana, was a fan of the veteran photographer.
For the formal photo – which was snapped in the historic Council Chamber linked to Clarence House, the official residence of William’s father Prince Charles – Prince William donned a Turnbull and Asser suit, while Kate chose a white Reiss dress and Links earrings. For the dressed-down denim look – taken in the Cornwall Room of St. James’s Palace – William changed into a Turnbull and Asser shirt and Brunello Cucinelli sweater, with Kate opting for a Whistles blouse.
