Rapper, Trina recently made a visit to ESSENCE Now, where she talked about upcoming music and her role on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop Miami.
The 39 year old revealed that she’s releasing two albums in 2018 and one extra, possibly, with another artist.
“[There’s] possibly a third album with a collaboration with another female artist,” she told host Makho Ndlovu. When asked who the artist would be, the Baddest Bitch said, “I can’t tell you,” but, she’s a “singer. It’s like a duet. Like the best of both girls, kind of thing like that.”
In the business for over 20 years, Trina has always been fairly quiet about her personal life. Born and raised in Miami, she’s managed to have a successful career in music without being marred by drama or scandals.
So when asked why she chose to be on a reality-show franchise known for its drama, she kept it honest. “I was hesitant at first. It was offered to me a couple of times a couple of years ago. And I just think now, the timing was right. And I just decided to do it.”
“I just kind of filmed with what went with my lifestyle. There’s Trick Daddy, which is my friend and somebody I made music with. There’s Trick’s wife, who is my cousin. And a few people that I’m cool with that are from Miami. So I didn’t mind filming with them. If I didn’t know the person, or whoever it was, I didn’t care to film with them.”
We can’t wait to tune in!
