We’re talking midterm elections today, duh!
Congrats are in order to Democrats, who flipped the House of Representatives and now represent the majority.
Women also deserve a huge kudos for winning a record number of seats in the House, including two Muslim women, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, and the first Native American woman, Sharice Davids. She’ll join Deb Haaland, another Native American woman who’s joining our elected officials.
And we can’t forget about the Black women who made history, including Ayanna Pressley, Lauren Underwood and we’re still counting on Stacey Abrams, who will (fingers crossed) become the first Black woman to be governor in the state of Georgia.
